Meet Our Founders

Jessica Thacker MA, BCBA, COBA

Hi, I am Jessica Thacker. I am a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. You may see or hear me use the letters BCBA to define myself. I grew up in Scioto County and am so excited to be back home to provide the much-needed services and resources to the area. As a BCBA I provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. ABA is a very broad term that includes so many wonderful services. I have been in the field for about 7 years now. I started as a Behavior Technician at a small clinic in Mansfield then became a Registered Behavior Technician at a larger clinic in Columbus while I got my Masters in ABA to become BCBA.

Some of the services included in ABA are:

Toilet training

Social Skills training

Behavior Skills Training

Crisis Intervention

Parent Training and resources

Communication Training

Behavior Management in Classrooms

I have worked with children diagnosed with Autism as young as 18 months old to 18 years old. One of the things that I love about my field is the individuality of the treatment. What one person may respond to another may not. Anytime I work with a family or client I am able to tailor their treatment to their needs and preferences. My goal is to give each family and child the tools they need to be successful and independent.

Lynn Harting Co-Founder

Hi, I am Lynn Harting. I am the business half of Piece By Piece Learning Center. I am the half that gets to do all the scheduling and paperwork. I have been a business owner in Scioto County for 30 years. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration from Marshall University and I studied for my MBA at the University of Dayton.

I feel the services that Piece By Piece Learning Center will provide are going to fill a gap in the resources needed in our area.

Over the last 7 years I have learned so much about ABA. I was thrilled to attend WIBA (Women in Behavior Analysis) National Conference in 2022.

ABA’s flexibility in treatment approach for children with Developmental Disabilities is unique and very successful. Each child’s treatment plan is created specific to the child and their families’ needs after their assessment is completed by a BCBA.

Our goal is to give each family and child the tools they need to be successful and independent.
